IT for architecture and BIM teams

It’s all about the design.

Our bespoke approach delivers end‑to‑end design excellence by uniting powerful, communication tools such as Microsoft Teams and Revit BIM and AutoCAD for realt-ime collaboration.

With our experience in high‑performance design orientated computing, and secure data flows. We enable architects to co‑author projects not just within teams, but from any location and with permitted third parties while safeguarding access to model data with encryption and automated backups.

Reduce costs by employing data-management techniques that keep storage requirements lean by reducing data sprawl and implement systems that reduce the need for cloud licensing. The result is a flexible, scalable platform that is quickly adapted to new challenges, empowering firms to be more productive, together and deliver on larger projects.

High capacity network and internet design

A fast, high capacity network and internet connection is essential to collaborative working within your team and with third parties. With Dyonix’s extensive experience in scaleable, high capacity network design, we provide the right tools and the right hardware together with the a fundamental design concept to deliver a network that performs without frustrating slowdowns or outages. This delivers a seamless team working experience that grows to multi-terabyte projects with hundreds of concurrent users.

Engage with architects the world over

Empower remote workers, freelancers and third parties vith effective remote solutions for architecture that allow for real-time 3D collaborative design work with GPU accelerated VDI solutions. With this approach you can satisfy data privacy concerns through the centralised server based nature of the solution

Proactive System Monitoring and IT Support

We proactively monitor your system 24/7, identify and resolve potential issues before these can affect your day to day operations. Our IT support packages offer fully managed or co-managed solutions that take the stress and complexity out of managing a complex IT landscape.

Unified communication solutions

Connect teams together, third parties and clients with unified communication solutions. With video conferencing solutions, meetings can be shifted to the digital domain and reducing the need for in-person meetings that may be costly for international projects. We provide optimised phone systems utilising VoIP technologies from Emtel or Mauritius Telecom coupled with marketing leading hardware from Yealink or Grandstream that optimise cost while not compromising on performance.

Do you work with Autodesk Revit?

Our customers primarily work with Autodesk Revit. The use of a specific BIM software or software version may be stipulated by the building project owner. While primarly support Autodesk Revit, we do have experience with alternative platforms, which we may be able to support on request.

How does team collaboration work?

Collaboration on a BIM model requires server based working practices. We will recommend either an on-premises or a cloud based (Autodesk Cloud) solution that is adapted to your unique workload. For large teams, an on-premises solution is often a more cost-effective solution. In both setups collaboration can scale from small groups of 2-3 users up to projects with 100+ architects across multiple teams, offices and countries. Real-time collaboration with third parties such as freelancers, specialist engineering firms and interior designers is also possible with both the fully cloud and on-premises variants.

How does BIM collaboration differ from traditional methods?

Traditional architectural workflows rely on static 2D drawings that are edited separately, versioned manually, and later assembled into separate documents for cost, schedule and code checks. BIM, by contrast, stores all building information (geometry, materials, cost, schedule, performance and operation data) in a single, dynamic model that automatically updates, detects clashes, and feeds analysis tools in real time. This gives architects a living, shared source of truth, eliminates manual hand‑offs, and allows teams to collaborate instantly—translating directly into faster, cheaper, and higher‑quality projects.

What size project makes sense for BIM?

Working with BIM is completely different from traditional based working. Unfortunately BIM is often overly complex for very small residential or commercial projects. You will see immediate ROI from BIM projects that require the engagement of multiple disciplines and that have a significant capital investment. Typical projects as an example are large apartment blocks, high rise buildings, combined residential and commercial complexes and campuses, school, government, datacenter and medical facilities demonstrate between 15-24% lifetime cost reductions through automated clash detection and more accurate material calculations.
